Review: Vivid Drinks

Monday, June 09, 2014

This is probably one of my favourite reviews to date! These are the Vivid Matcha Tea soft drinks. Perfect if you an individual always on the go and need a nutritional boost. These 330ml drinks won't let you down as they are packed to the brim with nutrients and green tea.

Below shows the three different types of soft drink; Lime, Ginger and Honey, Grape and Elderflower and lastly Pear and Rhubarb. Each bottle costs £1.89 and they can be found in WHSmiths, Harvey Nicholas, Selfridges, Waitrose and more! Also the drinks are kept in a recyclable carton.

Lime, Ginger and Honey:
★ ★☆☆☆
It is a fresh gingery and green tea taste. However it does smell a bit musky which put me off a little bit, my dad on the other hand has drank them both at work; enjoyed this drink the most!
The ingredients in this drink are; Water, Pressed Fruit & Juice, Ginger, Honey, Matcha Tea Leaf Powder, Natural Lime and Ginger Flavouring and Vitamin C.

Grape and Elderflower:
★ ★ ★☆☆
On to my sisters favourite, she loves this one! This drink is very floral and light making it refreshing on the pallet. I found it to be very floral yet a strong taste of elderflower. The ingredients in this drink are; Water, Pressed Fruit & Juice, Lemon, Honey, Matcha Tea Leaf Powder, Natural Elderflower Flavouring and Vitamin C.

Pear and Rhubarb:
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This one would have to be my favourite!! It tastes like a fruit juice and there isn't much taste of green tea. However strangely enough it does smell like it with a summer hint. It tastes very much like rhubarb and quite watery; but I'm guessing if you don't like green tea this may be better for you. The ingredients in this drink are; Water, Pressed Fruit & Juice, Rhubarb, Honey, Matcha Tea Leaf Powder, Rooibos, Natural Lime and Ginger Flavouring and Vitamin C.

All the adventure is in trying them out to find out your favourite, you may love them all!

Price & Delivery:
- a 12 pack of one flavour on amazon is priced at £15.82 with free delivery
- Real foods offer one bottle for £1.89 - such an affordable price!
- The delivery from the company was amazing, next day delivery!

Tips:
- You could try mixing them with smoothies
- They must be drank within 24 hours
- Shake well before you open them
- It is better to keep them in the fridge till consumption
- Myself and my sister take shots of these drinks before exercising, just to make us seem healthier than we are at times! :)

In conclusion I would recommend this product to anybody whether you just like the flavours or want the health benefits. Both myself, my sister and my dad have tried them and liked them in different ways.

    1. For me it was the best by far! I wasn't expecting to like it as much as the others, so light and juicy!

  2. These sound lovely, I'm really into matcha at the moment since someone told me it could help you sleep (I'm not sure how true this is, I'll be honest)

It's refreshing (no pun intended) to see something other than straight up matcha, I'll definitely be having a look on amazon, when payday rolls in - of course!

    S xo.
